Re: 140wt gear oil

its for a british seagull, from my what i can find out, the gearcase needs 140wt oil, its designed to let the oil and water mix! no real seals in the gearbox. just cant find 140wt, but supposedly its common for farm equipment.....i live in a fishing village , so the farm deal isnt working out.
help! lol

Jeez 140wt, wouldn't that come in a block, that is some thick oil.

I just googled it and came up with all kinds of places to buy it, whether they can ship to Canada I don't know but it is out there, even found this http://britishseagullparts.com/gear-oil.htm

That gear oil is usually avail at auto parts stores, at least here in the US. I was able to ruin a transmission with it.

If you just can't find the 140Wt. gear oil, then maybe try the 80-90Wt. with some STP added to "thicken it up". Maybe add some O-Rings to help seal prop shaft? Tractor Supply carries 140Wt. Gear Oil. Good Luck!
