Heard recently that you can't get replacement 14" tires anymore for trailers. At least here in Tenn? Solution is that you have to get 13" or 15"....Is that true and what concerns are there for using a different radius tire?

Try championtrailers.com, Valkr.

Excellent source for anything to do with trailers.

Do have a local Northern Tool? Ours has a ton of 14" trailer tires.

Yeah, actually we do...

I don't really need the tires but the guy who told me needed one and was having a hard time finding one locally.

14" inch trailer tires are extremely common. I would even say they may be the most popular size.

Re: 14" Tires?

A larger tire than the trailer is designed for may result in tire/fender clearance issues so fenders may need to be raised. There are some advantages in going to a larger diameter tire. First, a larger diameter wheel and tire rolls easier so fuel economy will be slightly better. Larger diameter tires can have a higher load rating.

Whoever said that is just wrong. I am up in Clarksville, TN and there are plenty of 14" trailer tires. We have a store called Grandpas here and I buy new 14" tires with rim for my escort tailer for 79.00.

Any "good" tire shop will have 14' trailer tires, and if they don't have any in stock can get some from the jobber they use for their resupply. Brand is all dependent on the the tire store. I'm in Tn also in Nashville area, and Northern has plenty, Academy has some and can get you specifically what you want if they don't have any in stock, Boaters World if you want to pay the big bucks can get you what you want, too.
