So I just picked up a 75. Starcraft 14-foot aluminum V hull fishing boat and got a older honda bf100 10hp outboard. I was wondering if I can trailer the boat with the motor on or if I should put the motor in the bed of my truck until I get to the lake.

It depends on travel distance and conditions of the roads you're traveling and if the transom wood has been recently replaced or original. Road shock is way different than the forces the boat transom takes on the water. Without seeing your set up, I can't say if you'd be able to use a transom saver motor support to take that shock.

Another option I use for my kicker is to run a ratchet line from my OB interior bolt around my kicker under its ventilation plate and to a transom eye. That way I helps prevent any of the bounce. As this is your primary though, as Watermann suggested, a transom saver is cheap insurance.
