I bought a Starcraft 18 1/2 ft boat with an Evinrude 135 HP. It's way too much motor for that
aluminum boat. A 60 - 90 horse would be much better. What should I sell the 135 for. Runs well.

Prices fluctuate greatly depending on location, condition and whether or not it has power trim. Whats the model number?

These engines were made between 1973 and 1976. That was over 35 years ago. Not much value left in that engine. Any buyer will need to know the compression. Those were originally high compression engines-around 135# per cylinder when originally made. Power trim will make it easier to sell. Paint condition will affect value.

Make an offer on CL to trade motors and that might work out for you. Many people are always looking to go larger.......... or you can keep your current and just not hammer it to WOT and just drive in the sweet spot. Then you will have no problems.

Why get rid of it? Just don't run it wide open. You will burn less gas crusing at what is top speed of the 60 - 90hp
