130hp Honda secondary fuel filters?

Gents,

My 1997 130hp 4stroke is running a bit rough at idle and slightly above (I notice a shake while at slow speed in the harbor.) I've recently tuned it up, basically changing the plugs and Racor fuel filter. I suspect there may be gunk in some of the fuel filters located under the cowl, but don't really know where to look.

I do have the factory service manual, and could probably sort this out, but thought I'd seek the advice of you folks here. I know there were some service bulletins, but my motor was bought in Canada, and I have no real support locally (Alaska.)

I did hit a small piece of wood on the water the other day, and while the stainless prop looks fine, I think I can see the slightest wobble in the prop shaft when I spin it by hand. It's going to the local Honda shop as soon as I can get an appointment (could be a week or two) to get checked out, but I'd like to deal with the fuel filters beforehand.

Thanks a bunch, and feel free to get technical as I'm a mechanic and with the factory manual I can probably follow along with any advice given.

My BF130 has two translucent fuel filters pretty much right next to each other on the stbd side of the engine just fwd of the vapor separator assembly.

you might also want to drain anything that might of accumulated in the vst.
also do you have the hp fuel pump thats external?
if you do there was a fuel system mod that dealers were supposed to call up customers with affected units. (service bulletin #25) i had a customer today show up with the old style so there still out there.
if your prop shaft is bent that much it should be replaced.

Thansks for additional info! I'll make sure to have that checked out. I've got an appointment next Tuesday.

The suspect bent shaft is the main reason for going to the experts. I had a nice camping/shrimping trip planned this weekend, but put it on hold because I suspect it's bent. While we do the trip often, I just can't risk taking the family on another 60 mile plus trip in S.E. Alaska with a possible bad shaft.
