I have a 1992 130 Yahama that I have rebuilt the carbs. ran fine for 3 outings then sat for 3 weeks. Went out again and engine would not start. After much choking and pumping the bulb got it going, I believe on three cyl. running above 1200. I had to continually operate the electric choke on and off to keep it going. Checked for leaks on gas line and around carbs, none. I suspected the fuel pump so one is on order.
In the mean time I disassembled the old one and found the diaphragm pretty deformed. So I took the time to check out all the fuel lines for possible problems. I took the power head mounted fuel filter off and pumped the primer bulb and got some flow of fuel out however with a lot of air bubbles. I pumped it several times and it didn't really clear up totally. I have also installed a see through filter in the line just before the primer bulb. that showed bubbles and fuel leaking back into the bulb. The bulb is brand new, Wally World type. Bad check valves???
Also, just for the fun of it I wanted to check spark to each cyl. So I drained the carbs by removing the bowl drain screw. Bottom carbs drained well, top carbs had no fuel in either of them. Is that normal gravity drain back to the power head filter? It is mounted lower than the carbs.
While I got you here. I have a Seloc manual for the engine. For the life of me I am unable to fine a numbering guide for the cyl. Or is that just my ignorance with 2 stroke engines.
Thank guys for your wisdow
