Re: 130 honda

Hello
only every 4 cyl honda I have ever had the hood off of. seems they have some type of recall about cracking. I am not sure of the details. I just know in saltwater they corroded almost like an alka seltzer. plop them in and watch them fizz.
but its just my opinion
good luck and keep posting

Re: 130 honda

I've got my fingers crossed!! 325 Hours in saltwater and no apparent corrosion, except for some brass colored spacers at the bottom of the tilt plate which have "splintered" and some improperly plated clamps and tubes that have rusted under the bonnet. There is some evidence of "salting" around a water jacket cover, but it is minimal. Honda has issued an extended 10 year warranty on the block. I do flush the engine after each use and I occasionally spray and wipe down under the engine cover with WD40 or the like. Here's hoping that Rodbolts observations are the rarity - not the norm!
