130 Flooding Plugs

I have a 130 that Ijust replaced the head on. The timing is correct and it will start first time out. Runs great until you shut it off. Then to restart, it just cranks and cranks with no sign of spark. I removed the plugs and found them to be saturated with fuel. Checked for spark and its there. Unplug the injectors and it will fire back up to burn the fuel away, then stop.

Will again restart and run fin until its shut off, then the same thing again. Any suggestion as to the problem here?

Thanks

Re: 130 Flooding Plugs

Its a 2004. I thought the same thing and took it off, checked out the float setting and everything was right on.

I'm gonna try the timing one more time as over the weekend I took it out for the 1st water run since doing the head replacement, and the top rpm was around 4500. I may be off a tooth or so.

Thanks

Re: 130 Flooding Plugs

In reference to my Honda 130 plug flooding problem, I took all the belts off and completely and accurately timed the engine. I reset the ECM prior to starting. The engine started as before and ran great.... until i shut it down and went to restart again. Same result. Cranking and no fire. I will then unplug each injector and turn it over and it will start and run from the fuel in the cylinders until it burns it off, then stop. Replug injectors and it starts right up again.

One new issue is the MIL light stays on with an intermittent buzzer every second or so. According to my manual, this indicated "abnormal programmed fuel injection". Tomorrow i will replace the vapor seperator, fuel rail and the injectors which pretty much covers the fuel system and try it again.

I even switched out a good ECM which makes no difference in the problem, plus the engine runs fine when it starts, go figure. Fortunately for me, I have 130's at work and most of the parts that i'm swapping out to hopefully find my problem aren't costing me. If anyone has any comments or advice I'm grateful.
