Looking for a 12V inflator that will pump up tubes / towables fairly quickly. I bought a Wally-World one and I think I could pump it up faster with my foot pump. Anyone have any suggestions for a hi-volume pump that operates on 12V?

Thanks

The pump you want is an 'HVLP', meaning High Volume, Low Pressure. The one in spoilsofwar's link is the right type. Coleman sells them, too. A tire inflator is the opposite and not a good choice for blowing up inflatables.

I have the airhead one too. Works well. Gets a little warm by the time i am done with one large tube. But no biggy... we just have the one tube. If i had more to blow up i would prolly take a break between uses.

I have a cheap Ozark (I think) brand I think came from Wal Mart. It's for air mattresses. Works good, only take 3 to 5 minutes to fill up a big tube.

I actually bought one from Wally World last weekend for $30 bucks and I was actually surprised how well it worked to pump up our tube. Probably about 3 minutes for a single tube, but I have only used it once and don't expect too much longevity out of it...

Make that three for the Airhead. Works well every time!

Airhead makes one larger than the one above
It is 35 amp and you have to run it straight of the Battery
it draws too many amps for a cig lighter

airhead for me too, after much research. went with a 120v + transformer which adds functionality on the boat (charging phones, latptops etc.) and i can use the pump at home to blow up mattresses etc...

The one I have came with my tube. I forget the brand of my tube, like Sport something? I think it's name brand, but it came in a kit with the tube, rope, and pump. Just a small handheld thing that runs off the cigarette lighter in my boat, but I don't think it takes more than two minutes to pump up my tube, it's pretty quick.
