120 Dist Wiring

I have a 74 Tahiti Tropicana 18'tri hull with a merc 120 i/o and I have a manual for it. But the spark plug wiring diagram in the book looks different than whats on the motor.<br /><br />But it seems to run fine (besides some occasional stalling when going from slow to WOT , boat doesnt like mid speed) <br /><br />Should I be concered about this, is a motor able to run at all if they are wrong

Since the dawn of time the firing order for a four cylinder GM is 1-3-4-2. Yes it will run if you have it different! But it will run much better is you use the sequence above... ..JK
