12 foot boat in a storm.

So I'm watching the news last nite, 4 teens in a boat got swamped a mile off the beach in Rvere Ma, in a nor'easter of a storm in a 12 foot boat.!
They all swam for it and made it.

Can't imagine swimming that far in a storm, I can probably manage 50 feet.

The story mentioned that the one teens had a life-jacket on, I wonder if the rest of them wore them, If so, It saved their lives. That should have been the main headliner or at least mentioned in the story. Proud everyone made it.

ironically, the northeaster may have saved them, by blowing them to shore

Yup, they're very lucky. These sort sof situations, usually end with at least one of the occuplants drowning.

Good news is they all made it through the experience. I hope they have all learned from it.
