I Have Same Problem With 1967 9.2 Chrysler. Did You Ever Find The Problem? WHERE IS THE KILL SWITCH LOCATED? OR DOES THIS NOT HAVE ONE?

Re: 12.9 hp chrysler no spark

If the 12.9 is a magneto engine, there will be a pair of wires attached to the points. This pair looks like lamp cord, exits from under the flywheel, and is the kill circuit. Look for a short in the points, or a bare wire rubbing the flywheel. Look for cracked condensers. It is difficult to test a condenser so if you can get a couple cheap, just replace them.

The lamp cord will either attach at the wire terminal board or at the kill switch in the front of the engine. If it is attached to the push switch, remove the spade terminals and insulate them. If you now have spark, then the kill switch is shorting.
