115ceto what year?

Can anyone tell me what year a Yamaha 115ceto 6E5 L 402653 V motor is?<br /><br />cross reference with year finder chart but no success. No last letter with O.<br /><br />Anyone, Thanks

I think it's a 1998.

Could be the last letter is a "Q", which would make it a 1992 Model.???? <br /><br /> web page<br /><br />Although, according to this site, it would be a 1982 Model if "Q" is correct. Someone will know for sure...<br /><br /> Modelguide

I ask everyone and no one knows for sure, I've been getting years 90, 98, 92 and 82. The motor looks very new (inside and out). The previous owner bought it 2000 (he said). Any Yamaha dealers out there that could help. Because I don't know which parts to get.<br /><br />Thanks

If the last letter is indeed an O and not a Q, then the engine is a 1984 model. The O is interchangable with the model N. Use to see alot of N models come in with another id plate on the opposite side of the engine with the letter O.
