115 Yamaha (C115TLRS) will not go

I was running full out when I suddenly lost speed. The motor continued to run but the speed was very nominal (my trolling motor moved the boat faster). When I move the remote control lever from neutral to forward, I hear the customary click. When I move the remote control lever to reverse, I hear the customary click. Incidently, the motor does appear to move faster in reverse than forward. What do i need to do to fix this problem?

From the information you gave it sounds like you may have spum a prop. With the ignition turned off and the motor in gear see if you can turn the prop by hand. Watch the nut that holds the prop on and see if it turns with the prop. If the prop shaft doesn't turn while you are turning the prop, it's spun. Take the prop to a prop shop and have a new bushing installed.

Good luck :)

Another tip...Sometime you cannot spin it by hand or foot. Mark with a marker across the hub and center rubber bushing and go try it. If the marks move its time for a new bushing to be installed. Or you can install your spare prop and go try it. You do have a spare prop dont you? :)
