i was having the alarm sound non stop, i took it to the shop, he replaced the modulator, since then it will not get up on plane or go into the halling butt mode. it will not let the other two carbs kick in. it is a pro craft. we have cleaned all 4 carbs, new plugs, it still will not go, it goes slow not in the fast mode. please help me. can you send me an email raybet43@bellsouth.net checking here is kinda hard for me. at work. i can check email at any time. thanks

ps before we replaced the piece it ran great and all 4 carbs kicked in halling butt. i have tried every thing. the man that worked on it has too....

Re: 115 mercury out board

I had the same problem after a visit to my dealer. My 115 2+2 would not go. Check the butterflies on the carbs and see if they are fully open at full throttle setting.(Engine 0ff) In my case the dealer had adjusted the throttle valve that controls the fuel to 2 carbs in idle mode too high. (On the left side under the throttle linkage) The valve operates off of the throttle cam and slides up and down on the set screw. If it was set too high, it prevents the throttle cam from opening the butterflies. Mine would only open @ 1/4. Took me @ 20 MInutes to figure it out and @ 5 minutes to fix. Saved me 280 mile round trip back to my dealer.
