I'm new to this forum. I have a 1995 115 HP Mariner 2 stroke engine. I winterized it last year and ran the carbs dry. I didn't get it back in the water until August. It was running bad at idle. I put new plugs in it but they didn't help. I didn't use it much before I pulled it out for the winter. When I pulled the plugs to winterize I noticed 1 plug look brand new. I think the carb is blocked or the float is bad. The other 3 plugs look like the have had fuel. How hard is it to pull the carb and put in a rebuild kit? I have a new boat on order but I need this one to run good for the trade.
Thanks for any help in advance Dmax27

Not hard at all. I would recommend getting a manual. But it really isn't that hard, just take pictures as you are disassembling the carbs (don't just do one, do them all). Just get the carb kits, disassemble the carbs, remove plastic parts, soak all metal parts in carb cleaner, rinse in water, dry and blow out all orfices with compressed air and reassemble with the new gaskets provided in the kit.

If you are only letting the carbs sit for 3-5 minutes in the cleaner it won't hurt the plastic parts and you won't have to remove them. I never remove mine and they are always fine. Only if you were going to soak overnight, which I never seen a case where that is absolutely necessary.

Oh yeah, do them one at a time. Each cylinder may be feed by different size jets so don't mix em' up.
