Neighbors 115 evinrude will fire but not keep running. Its in his boat lift and he want to pull it out for winter. Larger than stuff I work on, but I took a quick peak, before I tow him up to the boat ramp tomorrow.
As soon as it fires, it stalls, but when I pulled the air silencer to take a peak, I see fuel spitting out right around/behind the red part on the pic on the fuel pump assembly.
I'm assuming there is a failed o ring in there and since it seems like fuel is being pressured out of there, its not getting to the carbs to keep it running. Probably 1/2 an ounce of fuel streams out as soon as if fires and quits.
I'm not familar with these, but how does that valve come apart, and is it worth me replacing that Oring before he takes it into a shop for repair? I'm not positive that is the only issue, but I know it shouldn't be streaming out fuel like that, so as a minimum that needs to be fixed.
Thanks for any insight
