I have a 1978 ranger with a 115 Chrysler and I was looking for carb rebuild kits and fuel pump rebuild kits. I just couldn't find parts listed for my size engine, I think it was only made for a few years 77-81. I noticed that the parts I was looking for in iboats were interchangeable between a lot of different engines, except mine was not listed. I was wondering if parts from say a 120 would work on my 115. Here is the link with the part list so you can see what I'm talking about: http://www.iboats.com/Chrysler-Carburetor-Kits/dm/view_id.270422

Re: 115 chrysler parts

On all Chrysler four cylinder engines there were only two type carbs used: the small 1 5/16 venturi WB and the large 1 5/8 venturi TC. TC carbs were much more massive and parts from a WB will not fit. HOWEVER: Even though each of the carbs had different numbers, in a type (WB or TC) the only differences were in air venting and jet size. SO: any rebuild kit for any TC carb will fit any other TC and any rebuild kit for any WB carb will fit any other WB carb. With some exceptions--Some WBs used a spring to hold in the brass dip tube while others used a screw-in dip tube. Again, however, you are not likely to either need or receive a dip tube with the rebuild kit.

I forget which carbs the 115 used, but if you buy a kit for the same size carb it will fit. And, just for giggles, almost everything except the needle and seat, and bowl nut gaskets, were the same for both types carb. Same float, bowl, bowl gasket. Chrysler did like to standardize! LOL

AND: If your 115 has the small venturi WB carbs, simply by changing the manifolds, it can be converted to use large venturi TC carbs
