10hp 2000 johson seahorse

Followed FAQ starting a outboard procedures, traced fuel through lines to "pump, transfer thing", looks perfect fuel passes no problem to carb. When I spash fuel in carb. fires right up. I'm guessing carb. right? Rebuild kit? Should I order one through a repair shop? Can I order one somewhere myself? How hard to rebuild first time doing it? What's the ballpark for a shop to rebuild? Thanks,
