100 to 1 mix on yamaha 15hp is this right???????

i just got a yamaha 15 hp 1987 i think. where the gas line connects to the motor there is a sticker with a little gas pump with 100# beside it. and a drop of oil with a 1# beside it this seems like a low ratio to me any help would be appreciated <br />thanx guys

Howdy, DRS.<br /><br />Yamaha now recommends 50:1 for those engines built in the '80s that they originally designated as 100:1.
