I have a Merc engine and it says 110 on the cowl. The serial # is 5640786 which the lists I've seen don't match up to a 110. It has electric start and knockouts for the Merc cables for throttle and shift but the cables I have (Merc) don't line up. It seems it needs an adapter kit to connect the Merc cables. I have seen on some sites the Merc # 74355A4 as an adapter kit, but I don't feel like spending $50 to find out I'm wrong. Which happens all the time, just ask my wife. If anybody can tell me the year of the motor and any suggestions where to look for the hookups it would be greatly appreciated Thanks
