1.98.1 nd 1.84.1 out drives

I am going to do an engine swap here from a2.5 to my 470 along with the out drives as well, and I am wondering what are the differences between these drives, shaft diameter, gear ratio ( is one of the differences) , I bit more education with this one fellas. I am also wondering if I can just put the 1.84.1 drive on the existing gimble assembly as well. Both craft are
1988 year models, so I am hoping this one would be possible too.

You will have to do a complete change--motor, transom plate and outdrive--to mount the 470. The 470 transom plate/hardware won't match any other engine--and vice versa. Sorry!

Could you explain the differences please, as I stated I am looking for education as well.I do have all the parts to do the swap but like I said looking where to find the info, or what it might be ....Thanks

Ayuh,.... You've got 'em Both, Right there,....

Look at 'em,....

Compare 'em,....

You'll learn the differences that way....
