1.6 litre seadrive

Hello All<br />I am doing the daunting task of rebuilding this motor myself and i was wondering where do i find which johnson parts are compatable with this seadrrive<br />the numbers i pulled off the motor are<br />983285<br />2BBLctr<br />6J785083<br />for a complete rebuild which manual could someone sugest?<br />Regards and thanks for the help

I would suggest an OE manual to get very specific information. The generic ones are OK but for this I would go with the OE.<br /><br />What you have is a 1983 V4 crossflow. There are some minor differences on the Sea Drive block but the internals are the same as an outboard.<br /><br />Good luck!

I have a pair of 1987s & strongly agree with Dhadley on buying the OMC manual specific for your motor. Mine are at 110 hp. I have had mine for 10 yrs & had no problems with the SeaDrive assembly but would not touch it without the manual. They are quite complex.
