1/4" valve big enough in gas line?

You all have been helping me get a kicker motor installed on my 19ft. cuddy cabin. Now, I need to put in a 3-way valve to route gas to the 4 stroke 9.9 hp kicker when I need it. dont know, a quick test session with a vacum guage installed between the valve and the fuel pump will tell. if its more than 4" Hg at wot its to small.
