I have a 2009 Mercury Pro xs 250 hp. Engine has always ran perfect , on my last trip engine started perfect and blasted off perfect while running maybe 2 miles on plane it cut off like I had pilled the kill switch?? It started right back up perfectly and blasted off again, again about 1 mile on plane it shut off again!! , it will start right back up and run perfect but will shut off just like if I turn the key off.. now after it did this 3 times, the 4th restart it ran probly a good 5 miles back to the ramp with no issues... I have never seen or heard of this happening before.. ?? . it did shut off while in idle when i was loading onto trailer... I have read it could be the key switch or kill switch?? any test i an do. Thanks for the help.
