07 yamaha SX 230HO Throttle tension

Is there a way to make the Throttles tighter? They seem to back off when I let go of the sticks.

Depends on the type throttle and shifter you have. Some are adjustable and some are not.

without further identification, cant help.
the outboards here were never offered in a 230 HP.

who made the controls? a picture may help. most controls have a friction adjustment screw.
