Hey guys,
This is my first post so I will try to give all the info possible for motor. First of all the motor is very finicky to start when in the water. Starts fine in the garage with the water muffs on it. When in the water it has to be given plenty of throttle before it will start and then just seems to chug until there is some heat in the motor. New plugs with a .030 gap, running fuel pressure is 110psi and the air pressure is running rite at 95psi. The return pressure is 30psi all day long.
When in gear and under way the engine will throttle up smoothly but it has to be babied and will not rev past 5000rpm (is this common?). After you run it for a while at speed and when the throttle is chopped to an idle the motor will just die. If the throttle is slowly reduced to an idle it will surge from 700-800rpm to 1200rpm for around 10 seconds before it will even remotely smooth out. Where do I go from here.
