'07 9.9 Four Stroke 2200 rpm....

.....new fuel lines, squeeze bulb, clean tank, carb and filter. No stutter, hesitation nor miss. Just 2200 with confirmed w.o.t..
Prop is stock from the original dealer. Oil light goes out three seconds after start up. Disconnected the sender just to check.
It acts like the CDI is in a fail safe mode.

Any suggestions?

Nope! All is good there. The timing from idle to w.o.t. never varies. On the muff or in a barrel the revs are limitless. In the river the w.o.t. Is 2000-2300 every time.
No miss, hiccups,hesitation, stall or engin speed variation...just silk smooth 2000-2300 rpm.
