Hello all,

I bought a 06 Suzuki DF15 with a missing carb. Installed a brand new carbeurator assembly with gaskets. New spark plugs, new fuel, and new fuel line post the fuel pump.

I have fuel coming out the bleeder or the bowl. Strong fuel flow out the output of the pump. I've tried starter fluid in the spark plug ports.

It'll start cold after a couple pulls with choke out. I can get a response from the throttle, but it's spittering and sputtering, missing out intermittently. Then will die, no matter what I do with choke or thorttle it won't save.

When I try to restart it tries a few times and will run for a couple seconds but that's about it. Eventually it won't start at all. Wait an hour and same exactt scenario happens.

I have plugs gapped at .030. I have cleaned the carb(was some dirt in bowl). Clean out the spark plug Holes and some oil came out when I blew them out. Compression is around 90. The previous owner demonstrated good compression for me when I bought it.

The Neutral safety switch is bypassed and crimped together.(not sure why because the switch ohms out fine)

I took spark all electrical connectors and cleaned them. I have spark, starter fluid in holes doesn't help so I assume I have plenty of fuel.

Please give me some more ideas. Thank you.

Also, the little red warning lights flashes as I try to pull start it. I figured it's not really important until it's started.

Update: I got it running somehow at higher rpms. And after about a minute I let it idle back down and it stayed putting. Shut it off and started right up first pull. No choke needed after it was running.

So it's definitely a cold start issue only.. what would your next course of action be

Nss is fine. I installed a brand new Suzuki DF15 carbeurator. It's Suzuki OEM. Was about 350 bucks.

Got it running again today, runs strong, but will random just bog down, backfire, pop, and throttle won't save it. Even at higher rpms. Had it idling for about 3 full minutes.
