I have a 06 Sunchaser Pontoon and want to replace the steering wheel, it says above the wheel on the console "safe-t steering, Ihave removed the nut but cannot get the wheel to slide off, any ideas on what is keeping it from coming off?
the taper on the shaft. you need to either use a puller, or give it a really good yank, and hopefully not fly over the back of the transom into the drink when it lets loose.
