06 HONDA 8HP BZBC-No Spark

Hello all. Im a good mechanic, but an outboard noob. Ive got a co-worker with a motor Model #OK 31100881 serial# BZBC1501610. He has no spark and I was wondering where I should start looking first.
I dont know whether this is injected, but I believe it probably is. What kind of ignition do these run? Magnito? CD with crank trigger? Sounds like its pull start if that helps.

Be carefull about that no spark diagnosis.These engines have very cold spark when pulling them over and you need to ground the plugs in a dark room or set the tester at a 1/4 gap in a dark room to see if anything is happening.Ignition failures are rare with these units,so if you find you have no output,you then have to walk things back from your kill switch and safety switch to the cdi.

Thank you Hondon. I haven't looked at this motor yet.
If the owner is correct in believing there is no spark, I was suspecting neutral switch or lanyard kill switch.
Do you know the location of a service manual PDF?

Update

Well, turns out the spark is fine. Owner didn't have the clip and lanyard. Started right up and ran good. Pee tube wasn't peeing even after blowing compressed air into it, so I pulled the LU and and the pump cover.
Impeller looked good so I blew compressed air into water tube and blew all kinds of crap out the pee tube and exhaust.
Runs great and pees like a race hoarse now. Have to talk him into spark plugs now and see if I can't get $30 bucks for my time.
