Good afternoon everybody. This is my first post but I must admit I've scrolled through the site on many occasions looking for info. Here's my dillema:

Problem: 18 foot crestliner fishhawk with a 2005 yammi/Merc 115 dies out when coming down off of plane right at about 4k. This happens once its up to operating temp. Maybe 20-25 min of run time. No alarms go off. Nothing. No spitting and sputtering. Just dead on the water. After letting it sit for 10-20 min and pumping the primer bulb. It restarts and runs fine until the next time you come down off of plane. All freshwater use.

what other techs/marinas have done:

-replaced fuel injector o'rings.
-checked for any stored DTC's and IAC codes-none found.
- replaced all filters and primer bulb

I saw a few related posts about the VST being insufficently full of fuel, so I pulled the VST and cleaned it out. I also replaced the high pressure pump while I had it apart. None of the fuel lines were delaminated.

It's still doing the same thing and has become a safety issue with no control at high speed. I've got solid fuel pressure throughout the RPM range as far as I can tell. Ive also noticed it happens faster when its hot outside( its scorching hot in the lower midwest right now ) And I could swear that I heard an alarm for a split second before it died out recently.

I'm past the small stuff at this point. I even took apart the low pressure fuel pump and inspected the plunger and diaphram. Looked great. So I'm thinking this is no longer a fuel issue but something electrical getting too hot and shutting itself down. Very frustrating and scarey ride at this point.

DOES ANYONE WITH A THEORY WANT TO TAKE A STAB AT THIS ONE?
Im scratching my head. My equipment can only test so far. Looks like Im gonna have to find somebody with Merc Software to maybe try a "realtime" test. This issue just doesnt seam mechanical at this point

I appreciate your time in reading this.
