Just Picked up a Yamaha 2.5 4 Stroke. Its a 2005. Carbs were gummed up and corroded. It would only run with the choke on. I have pulled the carb apart about 7 times and made sure every single individual passage is clean. From the pilot jet up to the top. Main Jet and nozzle are clean. I have tested every circuit with air and ran a wire through all passages. I have set the float bowl to 10.9 mm spec is 10.5-11.5. I have it now so that it runs with the choke off but when I try to accelerate quickly it stumbles then picks up. I can get it to not stumble through that part of the throttle with the choke on. Pilot Screw is set to 2.5 tuns out. I have brought it in till it stumbled then out till it stumbled. And set it between. The tiny little port between the main jet and pilot jet is clear.
From what I understand the pilot circuit is most likely my problem. But everything is clean and clear.
Here is a video.
