anyone have any experence towing with a 4 runner. I am thinking about towing my new (to me) 25 foot mako 248. The truck has a 6,000.00 pound rating the trailer is rated for 5,900.00, should I be okay. I am only pulling the boat 75 miles and then it goes to the boat yard.

Thanks,

Craig

Re: 04 Toyota 4 runner

Grady,
I've got an '02 4Runner that I've pulled my 19' Maxum with since I've owned it. I've never (knock wood here) had any trouble. Of course, my boat would be a heck of a lot lighter than yours, and I've got a 6 cyl where you probably have an 8. I've also only got a single axle trailer with surge brakes and it follows fine. I can tell when the trailer brakes actuate, but if they're working right, they've never pushed me sideways (they DID when they were not right, however). So, if your brakes are ok, and you're under the tow limit, I can see no reason why you'd have any trouble.
Brian
