one long beep means the key or the key reader went bad,, usually it is the key, and it needs a dealer to program a new one,, don't let that stop you on getting the water out of the oil, hopefully you didn't get it in the cylinders.
pull off the oil filter cap and remove the oil filter,, open the oil filler cap where you add oil,, use a shop vac and place the hose in where the oil filter was, suck out as much oil as you can , pour in some dextron 2 trans fluid and let it sit in the sump with the remaining oil ,, you never get all the oil out,, then suck out that from the sump , then add some inexpensive oil and get your key programmed, start the engine several times with the filter back in place,, then remove the oil and filter and replace the filter with a new one and put in good oil, then go run the ski if there is foam in the oil you will need to change the oil and filter again,, a side note,, look under your hood for the white learner key,, if your key is bad the learner key will allow you to start the engine and blow any water out of the spark plug holes,, it will restrict the speed of the ski though when it is on the water

jeff i changed the module on top of the intake manifold and it cranked. i did get the water out. what does it mean when oil comes out the exhaust? and what oil do i run it with after the flushing is done. the dealer said sea doo oil only is that true?

Re: 04 seadoo gtx sc one long beep and no power

I have over 600 hours on one of my 4 stroke sea doo skies,, and I use a synthetic blend of oil ,castrol synteck,, but oil questions usually start wars ,, worse than political issues , I use a blend because synthetic oil seems to not stick as well as real oil and skies do a lot of sitting so you want oil to stay on the parts when the engine is not being used. My thinking is a blend would be the best of both worlds.. but everyone has their own opinion on that.
as for oil in the exhaust ,, it probably got in there from all the water forcing it out of the sump.
the control module on the manifold is pretty costly and it also stores the key program and the hours of use,, so your ski should show zero hours if you replaced it with a new one.
