04 Seadoo GTX 4tec oil leak

Oil is pouring out of the Shaft Seal bearing / boot. I pulled the shaft replaced the crank shaft sealing ring that was ripped. Needless to say that did not stop the leak. Is the bearing also a seal? The boot is not torn or cracked. Should the oil even come into that area? Thanks

No help from the forum, but for the sake of others with this same issue and there will be some, here is the deal. The bearing acts as a seal and can go bad mine did> After removing I poored oil into the seal carrier and it leaked through the bearing> The new one did not. I replaced the bearing which has to be pressed off and the new one pressed on and we are back in business. You can do this without removing the motor. Minus the pressing it took about two hours.
