i just bought this fisher aluminum boat with an 03 mercury outboard runs good and strong only problem is a grinding or almost like a half in half out of gear sound when in neutral but only when you go from forward to neutral if you put it in reverse first then back into neutral the noise is gone.. any ideas. also i dont know if its connected but when im on the troll motor going forward i can hear a noise as the prop turns ive never had a boat that did this, i will make a video tomorrow. i dont wanna tear the motor up if i can help it, thanks in advance

Disconnect the shift cable at the engine. Center the shift slider in neutral. Adjust the shift cable (control in neutral) to fit the shift slider.
