03 150 xl sw 3 gal oil reservoir

In the process of updating battery wiring and decided to get a rigging tube and reroute my cables inside the non-split 2" wire loom. My question pertains to the 3 gal oil reservoir cap that runs to the emergency reservoir on the engine side. IF I remove that cap with the hose (on the 3 gal res) going to the engine will I need to bleed the emergency reservoir on the engine? I need to remove the cap with the hose out of the 3 gal reservoir to run the hose inside of the 2" wire loom.

The tank on the motor is gravity feed.....and boy do they make a mess when the cap cracks and blows off
