i have a 02 115 yamaha and the tilt and trim was working fine. now it takes a long time to travel up and once it gets up it wont go down unless i release it with the screw

Sounds like the trim relay to me......Could be worse. Imagine if you got back to the ramp, and your motor wouldn't trim up......
