Hey,

Well, it wouldn't be a ProAm approaching if something wasn't going wrong with my engine.

I've got a Ranger 520 w/a 02 Optimax 225. Today, 2nd run on Oroville, I start getting 4 alarm beeps, pauses for 90 seconds or so, then beeps again. (yah - that was me beeping all the way up the middle fork and back!)

That's low oil in the primary tank (inside the cowling) right? Happened on my old Champ a few times and I filled both tanks. I checked both the primary and the external tanks - both full.

The Smartcraft LED doesn't show any issue with the oil preasure - no error conditions indicated at all...

Anyone else ever dealt with this situation? I'm about to cut the damn alarm horn wire - kidding

Any incites would be greatly appreciated - beep beep beep beep!

Thanks - Bob Simard

Let us know what all warning tones can be sounded with that engine (manual)...

The sensor in the top tank may be faulty, or the float may be sticking in which case you will need a new tank, which includes the sensor.
