How does it sit in the water when you're stationary? Does the problem crop up when you are underway? How's your weight distribution?

Sits level in the water, weight distribution fine, does it with 18 pitch 4 blade alu, 21 pitch stainless 3 blade, 21 pitch alum 3 blade. Trim set down, trim set mid way. Has the 5.0 carb. Another person I talked to the other day same boat W/ 4.3 does the same thing. If I install trim tabs will this help? Will tabs mess with top speed on boat.

I haven't come across this issue on mine.....strange. Properly tuned SmartTabs will not harm your top end. In fact, it may increase it slightly. Will it cure your issue? Maybe. You may want to pose your question in the general forum here or talk to John at Nauticus (SmartTabs). You can also ask the question over at rinkerboatowners.com if it's a model specific issue.

Ok Spoke with the people at Nauticus about the smart tabs. They assure me that the SX Smart Tabs will correct the lean problem. I am getting some with the PR500 set up so I can raise them when mooring off shore. Figure I will need them for the fact I normally have to trim up to trailer height so not to stick out drive in the mud. After I try the I will let you know how they did.

I found that adding the tabs corrected all of the problems I was having but another cropped up. You may find in tight turns that you will get significant ventilation, or blow out, of the prop, that is, if you are using the stock aluminum ones. I found that going to a cupped stainless, I my case a 4-blade 20" Turbo fixed that issue. You may find that your 21" 3-blade stainless will perform the best.

Tabs went in great, got control on choppy water, plained better. Low speed still has slight list to the left. 5 people on board. Need to adjust tension and retest. WOT down alot and top speed down. Did not give enough time to see total top speed. More concerned with list. Will let you know how they do after adjustment.

Please post pics. of installed trim tabs. I want to put them on my 192 and would like to hear how they work out. What model did you purchase?

I have heard in other forums that the choice is the 60lbs smart tabs SX. Which did you use and where the heck did you mount them?

Spoke with Greg at Nauticus regarding the trim tabs. He suggests going with the ST1290-60. He didn't recommend the Smart Tabs SX because of our hull design. He shared with me a recommend install photo of the ST1290-60.

Well, the SX tabs do work and mount very nicely to the 192 hull. The stainless tabs mounted further from the centerline will definitely work. The SX tabs, even though they are mounted close to the centerline offer tremendous lateral stability. Either model will work.

The Picture that they sent on recommended install goes against the install instructions. I will be going out Aug 21 to test again. I have to make adjustments. I will take pictures on my install but I put in same place as picture above. So Far has made choppy water nice. Dont know about top speed yet, Plain is alot better.

That's great! If you find your top end has suffered, back off on the pressure a bit. You will find the setting that works best for you by trial and error.

Re: 02 192 Captiva With list to left

Well I tested them after adjustment. The tab on drivers side came off banging on boat. Removed tab from acuator. After getting boat out of water found that lock pins for tab were still there. lock pins put in facing one other. Should not have happened but it did. With boat at full weight capicity boat still list bad. With boat having 800lbs it does great. Tabs work great on the plane end. The 192captiva is rated wrong on the weight.

The fix I suggested to my wife is to buy a bigger boat. I think a 27 foot will do. :)
