just bought and 10 xl800 and it is cavitating. i am going to replace the impeller and ring. but what else can i do to get or push more thrust or just make this thing do some water wheelies?

wait till you do the pump and impeller,, see how it works ,, you may be surprised at the difference that makes and you may want to check with carl at island racing for a lower pitched impeller for hole shot,, since you are doing the pump anyway. just Punch island racing in to google to find him.. I bet he will know exactly what prop you need

ask him about power valve clips also,, some of the 800 engines need those to prevent the power valves from damaging the pistons, and if you have the oil injection still in use upgrade the oil lines,, they have a nasty habbit of falling off and blowing the engine. VERY common problem with yamaha .
