01 Yama XL800 Foot Well Blistering

I just noticed that my foot wells are blistering slightly. I store outside but under Yama custom covers. Water permeates and does end up sitting in foot wells. I live in a very dry climate so we don't get much rain. I do try to drain them periodically after a rain storm. Is this something I should be concerned about? Is it a costly repair? After researching the internet, it appears that gel-coat will blister if left in moisture. Any thoughts?

The blister will continue to enlarge if not "popped". They need to be ground down with a die grinder or Dremel. Fill the holes with Marine Tex or other similar product, sand down, and spot paint.
To prevent further blisters, prop up the trailer so water cannot sit it the footwells, might have to block up the jack to do this.

Thanks Bamadave for the advice and the storage tips! That seems like more work than I am capable of doing myself and have it look nice! Would a good gel coat repairman be able to fix the blisters or is this a dealer fix?
