I just bought a 2001 Glastron GS249 cruiser with a 5.7 Volvo. Was wondering if anyone else has one and what they think about. Curious what your top speed is, gas usage, how it is to sleep on, pitch and type of your prop etc.

Re: 01 Glastron GS249

I don't own this particular boat but I am interested in this line from Glastron. Since no one has responded, what do you think of it? Have you taken it out yet? Sorry to answer your questions w/ more.

Re: 01 Glastron GS249

It's not a Sea Ray or Crownline, but is not in their price range either. Seems to be a very nice boat. I put smart tabs on it (175.00) and a 17 pitch SS prop. Hole shot is a lot better and gets on plane very quickly now. The best speed I have got is about 43 MPH. A little slow to me but probably pretty good for a cruiser. My previous boat would run about 60 MPH. Handles very well and definitely rides better than my 21' mariah. I am trailering it this year and I pull it with a 2007 Ford F-150 with a 5.4 liter. No issues here, actually pulls great. Haven't slept on it yet but seems to be setup well. For the money I have no complaints.
