My wife and I recently purchased a 1983 Sx-190, super clean, no stress cracks anywhere, and minimal paint fade in the metal flake. I am looking for others in this niche to pick their brains and for possible OE cosmetic parts and anything of that nature. Has a 350 with alpha 1 gen 1 drive . Took it to the lake and it fires the first touch of the key and has an amazing plane to it. Will attach a couple pics. Thanks

Looks a lot like mine, except the nicer version. That thing must fly with a 5.7. jealous!

It is ballsy for a 19’ . Took it on the Pend O’rielle river yesterday and blew my mind how it performs. Swapped prop to a 19 degree 3 blade instead of 22 degree 3 blade. Would kill to find measurements for a bimini top for it

I've been trying to figure out how to put one on there with the tower

My SX195, which is about 18 1/2 ft long, has a 5.7. It feels okay powerwise, actually a little under powered

Sure looks as if she’s plenty of power there ! Nice. I’ve got a lovely old cvx16 with a 150 merc. Quick machine. Love a classic glastron

When I had the 4bbl on it it was about 66-67, with the 2bbl it gets a bit over 60

Excellent. That a 1.47 ratio alpha ? Quite similar performance to my bowrider. Yet to find a prop that will let it hit 70 and still be half decent at low down acceleration. Almost gutless down low with any serious pitch. Usually run a compromise pitch that will see into the 60’s…but still perform with passengers.

I have a Volvo. Somewhere in the 1.5:1 range. It lost a lot of Hole shot when I put the 4bbl and had to jump up in pitch several inches to bring the RPM down to 5000, which was still 200 higher than what Volvo stated for that engine.
