engine swap question????

im thinking of buying and dropping in a new engine on my sea ray
its a 92 sea ray with a 5.7 260hp mercruiser carburetor . if i wanted to go fuel injection and was replacing only the engine and not the drive. would there be more to it than simply buying a new engine?

Ayuh,... There's always "Gotcha's", but ya, if ya mean a new complete bobtail power package,...

so theoretically if i could get a 260 hp engine for the same price fuel injected as i could carburated it would cost me the same to drop it in my boat???

If the engine is complete, including all electrics, then it's play and pray.....

I just did the engine in my boat. Looked into going to fuel injection was told I would need to purchase the computer to run the fuel injection. The motor should bolt up as long as the flywheel is the same as the one on the old engine.
