74 50 hp johnson. top end. Put a '71 evinrude 55hp lower end. keep melting water pump housing! 1st time was my fault did not have book. second time I installed water pump to spsc's. went from "clappers" to emersion. Have checked copper up in to upper end no obstructions. ran it hard 1st day with a good strem of water, next day I started and could not get a stream...took lower end off and had fried water pump housing! 2 sides left the rest was gone!Can not get a match for a kit.. pulling housing numbers and meshig it all together for a kit. impeler' wings are 1/2" bigger than housing? Kinda worried I could have a wobble in drive shaft.
