The iboats forum moderators are excited to announce that at this time it appears the iboats forums posting pictures function is working once again. Though we cannot promise for how long, we're hoping for indefinitely.
I just ran a compression test on my son's 99 Blazer V6, alas #4 is running 1/2 pressure relative to the rest. Not rings, oil was no help. Time to perform a leakdown test and then likely pull the head.
But that isn't my question:
Bad cylinder was 90lbs... all others were around 175 - 180...
I can't seem to get the $@(*!##!!!#@@% lower leg cover to come free from the rest of the leg. I've pulled all 4 top, inside the cowl bolts (had to drill a couple of them out, because the molded in nuts spun free due to bolt being corroded into nut), I've pulled all 3 bolts on both sided of the...
Hey Ritt, that's you selling these on eBay, isn't it?
I finally got around to installing the correct 1441 adapter on my tilt cylinder (you told me about it here, last month, thanks).
Question for you:
Just prior to going out to Lake Mojave/Laughlin for 5 days in July, I noticed that the...
Frank,
I'm about to remove, repair and replace the mount, following your earlier post about fixing the lower shock mount.
Since the lower mount is retained by the same bolts that hold the kingpin cover, when I remove them and the cover, is there any risk of the motor coming free of the...
Tried going to the Nauticus website today to look at purchasing some Smart Tabs, and again a minute ago, and it comes up:

Anybody know what's up? I assume they're still in business, at least I...
How do I know when it's time to replace my prop? Right now, most of the paint is intact, a little scuffing along the leading edges. There are several very small... perhaps less that 1/16" dings. No noticeable vibration.
What criteria do I use to decide to replace it?
Thanks
Bought this boat 9 months ago, knew the owner and the well kept condition of the boat and trailer. Okay, so I pulled the trailer's wheels yesterday, feeling it was time. Removed, cleaned and re-packed the bearings.
When I re-assembled and tightened down the axle nuts, I had two options...
I read descriptions of the long (25"?) and short (?") driveshaft versions of the Force engines. Anyone know whether my '91 Bayliner Capri 1800's Force 90 (906X91A) has the long or short version, and how and from where would I measure it?
Thanks
Hit reverse coming into the ramp the other day, and the prop pulled itself up out of the water... then tilt stopped working.
Got it apart, and I see that the top fitting on the cylinder has broken off, just in front of the yoke that holds it in place against the cylinder's circumference. (see...
As I was stowing my '91 Force 90 for transport the other day, i noticed that the entire lower assembly would rock back and forth without the engine case moving. Upon removing the power head cover, i now see that the entire assembly, lower and powerhead, is able to rock back and forth about 2"...
New to this forum, it's very informative. I'm relatively new to boating (1 year) but have been riding and repairing both 2 and 4 stroke quads for quite a while. I have seen many mentions here of 'De-carb' treatment. I am not familiar. Can anyone enlighten me to the purpose and process...
