My trim is stuck in the down position. I cannot get to the trim unit unless I raise the motor. How can I manually raise it? There is a rod that goes through the trim with a nut on each end, I removed these nuts but could not remove the rod.
I have a 1990, 40 HP Johnson. The engine is in the down position and the auto trim will not work. How do I bypass the trim in order to raise the engine?
