    advice on carb rebuild

I have a 1994 70 HP Evinrude that is in need of rebuilt carbs. I am not a mechanic, however I do have decent mechanical skills and experience, I even worked with a traveling marine mechanic for 2 years when I was in college. I'm a DIY'er and I'd like to do the job myself as I have rebuilt many...

    Another pitch question...

I know you supreme mariners may tire of reading questions regarding prop pitch but as a cadet, your opinions are greatly respected. Here is my info: 17' Crestliner with a 70 Evinrude turning a 19 pitch aluminum prop. I get 5100 rpm at WOT doing 33 mph with an average load of 2 people and gear...

    Bad welds on 2002

A buddy of mine has a 2002 19' Xpress for about 2 years. Within 6 months of owning it he noticed the welds on the seat bottom had all broken. He repaired them himself, but now he has a cracked weld in the hull which is allowing quite a bit of water in over a few hour trip. They have a lifetime...

Newb needs help with 17 Pro-Am

I have a 1994 17' Pro-Am with a 70HP Evinrude. My first comment is I love the boat. However, when it planes, it lists to the port side. I've tried adjusting the trim tab to no avail. I've even tried it with and without doel-fins. What could be causing it? I also want to hear motor...
